I spent 26 years as a police officer, in New York City, Los Angeles, California and Savannah, Georgia. Prior to that, I was a private investigator in New York, New Orleans and San Francisco, specializing in homicide defense investigations in the inner city. My nine published crime novels feature Dancing Max Royster, the world's only ballroom dancing detective. For the past year and a half, I have traveled and danced throughout Asia, writing the new Dancing Max Royster novel.
