Palmiro Campagna is a retired engineer with degrees in bio-engineering and electrical engineering from the universities of Guelph and Queen's respectively. As a researcher, writer, he has been responsible for having declassified the largest group of documents on the Avro Arrow, Canada's advanced supersonic fighter of the fifties and for putting to bed many of the myths surrounding this chapter in Canadian history by answering the key questions of who ordered the destruction of the completed aircraft and all technical information and why it was canceled. His work also extended into the realm of UFOs and Avros link to the Unites States effort in building one. Key documents are reproduced in his bestselling Storms of Controversy: The Secret Avro Arrow Files Revealed, The UFO Files: The CanadianConnection Exposed and Requiem for A Giant; A.V.Roe and the Avro Arrow. He has also written numerous articles for various magazines including, Avro Arrow: An Aviation Chapter In Canadian History, Engineering Dimensions and Rebuilding the Arrow, Guest Editorial, Airforce Magazine. He has been interviewed by numerous radio and television stations on these subjects such as Jane Hawtin Live, "The UFO Files" and "Strange Days Indeed" on CFRB. He has consulted and appeared in several documentaries including , "The Sea Hunters: The Search for the Avro Arrow Test Models", (National Geographic), "Indians and Aliens", a 6 part series by Rezolution Pictures for APTN, "Avro Car Saucer Secrets from the Past" from Mid Canada Entertainment and "The Shag Harbour UFO Incident" by Ocean Entertainment. His book, "Storms" was also used as background information for the fictional movie, "The Arrow" with Dan Aykroyd as noted in The Canadian Encyclopaedia under "Aykroyd and The Making of the Arrow". He resides in Ottawa, Canada.
