Kaprice Kea

Kaprice Kea is a British film-maker, who spent his formative years in London, re-locating to Bangkok in January 2000. Kaprice has scripted/directed three feature films. He has also produced a fourth, Glory Days ((US) in 2010, providing the expertise, contacts, and cast to get a film made in Thailand. In 2002, Kaprice formed Fluid Film Co. Ltd, to facilitate his various projects and activities. Since then, he has spent most Sundays, providing workshops and courses for aspiring actors,embarking upon a career in international film. By cultivating a pool of acting talent, and with being hands-on, Kaprice's expertise of local actors was soon sought by foreign producers shooting movies in the region. From his solid background of working in UK, Kaprice established a niche position of being able to assert the rights and interests of local actors, customary to those enjoyed by their peers in the West. And to bring greater awareness of how the industry works outside Thailand, Kaprice has twice flown award-winning, LA Casting Director, Ivy Isenberg to Bangkok, to give Master Classes in Audition Technique. On her first visit, the then 19 year old, Krystal Vee was in the audience. Some four years, later, having mentored Krystal in the key stages of her early career, Ivy contacted Kaprice for a movie she was casting for Universal Studios. She needed an Asian Princess, with striking features, and a technical proficiency in the martial arts. Kaprice shot Krystal's audition, uploaded it for Ivy to present to the Executives at Universal. Krystal was cast in Scorpion King 3, and has never looked back. She now works in Hollywood. Recently, Kaprice seized the opportunity to direct again. The Attic takes a suburban supernatural tale, and underpins it with a barbaric and terrifying practice, performed under a veil of darkness, every night of the year in Bangkok.
