Margaret Byrne

Margaret Byrne was born on September 27, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. She is a director, producer, and writer. Byrne directed and produced Raising Bertie, a feature documentary following the lives of three African American boys in rural North Carolina over the course of six years. Her previous credits include Emmy nominated American Promise (2012) and Slaying Goliath (2009). She was previously a creative director at Universal Music and produced the series that launched MTV in Africa. She is the founder of Beti Films.
