Dan Fill is the co-founder of Chocolate Liberation Front, an independent production company based in Melbourne Australia with a Canadian office in Toronto. Dan and his partner Frank Verheggen are producers of television shows, video games and web entertainment properties. Since launching the company in 2009 they have won a series of awards and accolades including three Kidscreen Awards 2013, The Australian Academy Award for Best Children's Program "The Adventures of Figaro Pho" , two Webby nominations and a UN Peace Award for Asylum Exit Australia.
Projects have ranged from interactive websites such as The Wild Kratts Interactive, The Titanic The Ultimate Experience; to video games 'Oscura' and 'Figaro Pho Critters and Creatures Game' to interactive documentaries: 'Convenient Education' and 'Immigration Nation' to television production : The Adventures of Figaro Pho.
Prior to Chocolate Liberation Front , Dan Fill was the Head of Multiplatform for ABC TV and The Head of New Media & Digital Services for The ABC where he oversaw original production for ABC2, was a critical leader in spearheading the launch of ABC iView in conjunction with the ABC TV and ABC Innovation divisions and oversaw the highly successful ABC TV Podcasting service.
Dan was Vice President of Decode Entertainment (now DHX) where he was nominated for a Bafta for the Angela Anaconda Interactive Project and was named Canada's Top Digital Innovator.
Dan was also the Head of Development at Cambium (now CCI Entertainment) where he was involved in writing and story editing animated series, associate producing documentaries and developing new properties.
Dan has a Bachelor in Applied Arts Radio & Television Arts from Ryerson (Toronto) and a studied Business & Mass Communications at University of Ottawa.
