Latif Ahmadi

He is one of Afghanistan's most productive and well-known filmmakers. He studied engineering at Kabul Polytechnic University. In the early 70's he founded the first private production company in Afghanistan, Ariana Films, together with Toryalai Shafaq and Juwansher Haidary. He spent the 90s in exile in Moscow. In 2001 he returned to Afghanistan, where he headed the national film institute and archive until 2013. For Ariana TV, he recently produced a television series on Afghan film history.
