He is the author of more than 40 books, including My Best Friend's Birthday: The Making of a Quentin Tarantino Film, Making Movies with Orson Welles (with Gary Graver), and The Cinematic Misadventures of Ed Wood (with Charles E. Pratt Jr.). His novels Elvis Presley, CIA Assassin and Bloody Sheets have both been optioned for film.
