Biography

Jerry Allen formed Metallian Productions while attending film school in his hometown of Boston Massachusetts. In 1987 he relocated to Los Angeles California, enrolled in UCLA film school and worked on several motion pictures My Mom's a Werewolf (1989) and Hard Rock Nightmare (1988) to name just a couple. In 1989 he also began producing and directing music videos for local bands. Being heavily into the metal/thrash scene, Jerry decided to blend his two loves together and create a program he'd like to see himself, and so "Tales From The Pit" was born. 1992 brought Jerry to the San Francisco bay area, birthplace of the thrash metal movement and home to many of the bands featured on "Tales From The Pit". Jerry's many credits include broadcast television, feature films, corporate video production, promo and long form home videos and much more. His work has been featured on MTV, Jerry Springer and the feature film about Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, "Kurt And Courtney".
