Sianna Lyons

Biography

Sianna Lyons began acting in theatrical, television, and film productions in her native Massachusetts before expanding to writing and producing projects in NYC. Partnering with writer/director Federico González-Runnebaum, she produced and acted in a dramatic short, "Open Book," which won "Best Overall Film" at The Polo Ralph Lauren New Works Film Festival in NYC. Lyons followed up by producing another short with González-Runnebaum, "Hi-yah!" which was featured at the 2004 Woodstock Film Festival and received international distribution. The pair began a musical collaboration and, eventually, a writing partnership. Lyons and González-Runnebaum formed a company, Crazy Magic Media, to create film and video projects for themselves and their daughters, Kiera Gonzalez-Lyons and Sofia Gonzalez-Lyons, both of whom are actors and musical artists. Sianna, who graduated with honors from Brandeis University, has a history of social and political activism, and is especially drawn to conscious storytelling with an emphasis on diverse voices.
