Omar F. Aly

Omar Fernandes Aly is a film maker with a creation project including twenty one written scripts, three realized. The last one is a work developed in a Workshop with famous Iranian film maker Abbas Kiarostami, named "Roads" (2006). He is working on one more short film, and prepares to realize his first feature film, a project named "Portrait of An Artist as Dead". It aims to show the contradictions in contemporary way of life, divided between ideals of spirituality, arts and culture, and our actual world weakened by serious conflicts inter and intra nationals, a strong environmental degradation, generalized violence, and so on. He pretends to bring through his films a reflection over the past, a present vision, and some good suggestions for the future.
