Charlie has directed over 50 hours of prime time television including Poldark and several episodes of Doctor Who (Notably Human Nature and Family of Blood, reckoned to be among the best of the modern era) He was the lead director on Lark Rise to Candleford and Death in Paradise. Other work includes Poirot, Marple, Lewis and Doc Martin
