Christopher was born in Bournemouth, UK on October 1st 1980 on his sister's 5th birthday. His father lived in Nigeria for the first 14 years of his life, but he was brought up by his mother and educated in the UK with his brother and sister. He attended St. Thomas Garnet's Junior School and then Bournemouth Grammar School. One of his father's businesses involved video dubbing and this proved to spark Christopher's interest in film. Christopher enjoyed making and painting models from a young age and wanted to move into animatronics. A chance introduction with Kenny Wilson, mould shop supervisor at Jim Henson's Creature Shop in 1990 confirmed his desire to work in the industry. At the age of 12 his brother took him to the preview screening of Jurassic Park in the Bournemouth Odeon and from there, Christopher knew the future for him lay in computer graphics. At 12, Christopher saw it as a way of being able to realise the creatures and characters he designed without the constraints of size and technical skill in electronics and handling of toxic moulding chemicals. It also allowed him to experiment with endless iterations of form and texture.
In 1996, Christopher did work experience at Jim Henson's Creature Shop CG department in Camden, London on the ill-fated The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe which was never released.
In 1997, during his A-levels, Christopher was asked to assist with Henson's Toyota Goldfish adverts in basic modelling of a few pairs of sunglasses!
In 1999, Christopher attended the acclaimed university, Imperial College, London to pursue a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this he took on a PhD in Real Time Continuum Mechanics which is still in progress.
Throughout his time at university and beyond, Christopher freelanced at a number of major visual effects houses in the UK, on a number of major motion pictures. Finally achieving the goal set in the cinema in 1993 of working at Industrial Light and Magic.
Outside of work, Christopher trains with London Shootfighters and is an active UK cage fighter/mixed martial artist. He is also known to eat vast quantities of sushi.
