Tim Maddocks created Maddfilms to produce market driven films. Having completed a diploma of Film and TV production at North Sydney TAFE. Maddfilms joined with Coherent Productions to make Sum of Existence, which sold to the National Nine Network.
Tim has attended international film markets and festivals: Cannes 6 times, the American Film Market (AFM) 5 times, Sundance, Tribeca and Palm Springs along with conferences held by the Screen Producer's Association of Australia (SPAA) and industry bodies.
Maddfilms secured funding for the thirty-minute short Death's Requiem, which, along with The New Life and Dark Horse have played at top international and national festivals, securing prizes and awards from guilds. Maddfilms vision is to transport people from the everyday, to powerful and effective mainstream films, with artistic integrity.
In 2013 Tim completed a graduate diploma in screen business at AFTRS before producing Terminus with Storm Vision Entertainment, which had its International release in January 2016. Terminus is available on Netflix outside of Australia, and via iTunes & Google Play world wide for rent or purchase.
In 2015 Tim produced the Sci-Fi Blue World Order staring Billy Zane, Jack Thompson, Bruce Spence, Jake Ryan and Stephen Hunter with Ché Baker of Full Point Films. Blue World Order is available on iTunes, Google Play and OzFlix.
His 2017 Film, Out of the Shadows is available on Google Play & iTunes.
Since their release Tim has worked on the IMAX documentaries, Turtle Odyssey with Russell Crowe narrating, Mountain, by Jennifer Peedom, narrated by Willem Dafoe and Australia's Great Wild North with Balang 'Tommy' Lewis as well as developing a number of features. 2019 sees the release of Out of Bounds: Mountain Adventure - a journey from Antarctica to Alaska with snowboarders Torah Bright, Jeremey Jones and skier Sammy Carlson.
Tim is passionate about story, genre and is known for his understanding of finance for films.
