Sarah Kane

Sarah Kane was a British playwright. Her plays were remarkable for their extreme use of violence and sexuality and their deeply disturbing themes. Her first play, "Blasted", caused a media outcry. Kane suffered from depression and hanged herself in 1999. Her only film work was Skin (1995), a short film screened on Channel 4.
