Nick Higgins

Nick grew up with an Italian mother and Scottish father between Scotland & Saudi Arabia. He now resides between Los Angeles and a 5 acre desert ranch near the Joshua Tree National Park. Nick has spent the best part of the last three decades living everywhere except his Scottish birthplace; most notably Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Brazil and now LA. Along the way he picked up Portuguese, a Masters in Cinematography from the AFI and his film-making partner in crime aka Department of Expansion's producer/director Kristina Robbins. Notable highlights include shooting Mikhail Gorbachev for "Coundtown to Zero" (Sundance 2010), 4 nights spent deep in the pacific on board a nuclear submarine for the National Geographic channel and 5 months spent chasing fires while being embedded with the Boston Fire Department.
