Anna Laveria May

Anna Laveria May was born to a Scottish-Irish father and Chinese mother in the US Naval Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. Shortly thereafter, she was brought with her parents to the United States and settled in the San Francisco bay area of California. At the age of fifteen, she started modeling after a photographer friend of her mother submitted photos he had taken of her to a model agent he knew in Asia. When she was nineteen, she became engaged to a man twenty years her senior and married him several months later. Together, they ran a small chain of restaurants in the bay area. They separated several years later and it has been said that they remain good friends. Anna May is now a politician, having won an election by a landslide with a term in office (city council) ending in 2010.
