Biography

Morten Højbjerg is an award-winning editor who has strengthened many projects across film and television. His most notable work includes editing Netflix's The Crown starring Olivia Colman, Gillian Anderson and Helena Bonham Carter, Amazon's Hanna starring Esme Creed-Miles and Joel Kinnaman, and Lionsgate's The Vanishing starring Gerard Butler. Working on projects from across the world, Morten won an award for being the busiest editor in Denmark, in recognition of editing the most feature films over a ten year period. His collaborators have included Lars Von Trier, Kristoffer Nyholm and Oscar winning director Susanne Bier. Also a veteran of the music video industry, he has edited projects featuring acclaimed artists including Kanye West. Other credits in the film and television world include All In, Susanne Bier's After The Wedding, Trigonometry, Top Boy, Danny Boyle's Trust, and You Disappear. As a graduate of the National Film School of Denmark, his mentors and teachers include acclaimed danish directors Susanne Bier, Thomas Vinterberg and Jorgen Leth and renowned editor Walter Murch. Morten began his industry work at 19, when he was hired as a runner at a production company in Copenhagen. It was in this role that he stumbled upon the magic of editing, a craft he has been passionate about ever since. He resides in London.
