Steve Garfinkel

Steven Garfinkel was born in scenic Newark, New Jersey and grew up in the suburbs, the son of a prominent Radiologist father and concert-pianist mother. He "borrowed" the family movie 8mm camera at the age of nine, bought an ancient Bolex at 13 and has continued to work in film ever since. Steve spent years with NBC Television News, Showtime Network, both in Post-Production and Broadcast Engineering, 6 years on the TV crew of "Live From Lincoln Center, Movielab NY, and the last 14 at Eastman Kodak Co, working with Studio Feaure Productions and Film Students. His published photo credits include six record covers for pianist Vladimir Horowitz of RCA Records and a plethora of "author photos" for contemporary writers.
