Biography

Film Editor and Director Chandan Arora was born on April 13, 1972. As an Editor, he is particularly known for Company (2002) for which he received the 2003 Filmfare Award for Best Editing. As a Director, he is known for Striker (2010), Main, Meri Patni... Aur Woh! (2005) and Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon! (2003) Chandan is a part of the Varma family, which includes members that have had careers in the Bollywood industry as producers, distributors, actors, film directors, writers and film editors. The Varma family began working in the film industry in the late 1940s and continues into the 2020s; the family has had a staying power that has extended to more than seven decades. Chandan joined the Varma family when he married Minal Arora (née Verma), the granddaughter of Sumitra, sister of the six Varma brothers that were founders of Varma Films and patriarchs of the Varma family.
