Biography

Bernhard Floedl was born in Austria in 1965 and settled in Manila, Philippines in 1985, while all along keeping a second residence in Europe. Until the mid-1990s he became known as an actor in various action films and among many others, was privileged to work with well-known stars like Richard Harris, Donald Pleasence, Susan Sarandon, Robert Davi, Chuck Norris and Richard Hatch. He appeared in more than 30 US, European and Asian produced films as a supporting actor, but also had second lead roles in 3 films. While staying in contact with entertainment industry insiders, he later became a business man and worked as a trading consultant for major Philippine Corporations and as a supplier to Philippine Airlines. Through the last 35 years Bernhard Floedl also indulged in vintage American muscle car restoration as a hobby, restoring priceless American muscle cars and building a collection. As a die-hard cinema enthusiast he never lost his passion for film. As he encountered some young, talented Filipino filmmakers he decided to venture into writing, producing and co-directing his first full length documentary entitled "MotiV8tion" (2016) Aside from being a well-established collector of Philippine Tribal Art since the 1980's, he also later became an avid collector of European and South East Asian contemporary art and has since built an impressive collection. Visiting art fairs and travelling between Europe and Asia, he plans to build his own private art museum in Austria.
