Basil Schlegel

Basil Schlegel studied Media in Bochum, Germany and graduated in Business and Management of Entertainment from UCLA Los Angeles, California. After stints as producer and editor for German television, Basil Schlegel moved to New York City to work as an editor and post-production supervisor in advertising and music videos. Back in Germany, Schlegel produced and directed through his own production outlet Torpedo in Frankfurt. Schlegel's first ad campaign (as director-producer) got him short-listed at the Art Directors Club of Germany, Epica France, The New York Festivals, and won him top honors at The London International Advertising Awards. In short order, he helmed the launch for the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum in Spain as well as spots for the National Museum of Photography, Film, and Television in the UK, Deutsche Telekom in Germany, Sony in South East Asia, and Miller Beer in the US. Basil Schlegel relocated to Los Angeles where he directed and produced the independent US feature 'Night All Day'. To date Basil Schlegel has directed and produced more than 200 television ads and media projects in thirty countries worldwide for clients including Sony, Visa, Pepsico, Samsung, Canon, McDonalds, and Coca Cola.
