Biography

Julie Anne Wight is an award-winning film/TV writer and children's book author. She's the winner of National Lampoon and Stage 32's Search for Comedy Gold, a Top 3 Winner of Final Draft's Big Break feature comedy screenplay category, winner of the Assistants List TV Drama competition, a finalist in Universal Pictures' Emerging Writers' Fellowship, a finalist in the Script Pipeline Film and TV writing competitions, finalist in Screencraft's Pilot Launch, and a quarter-finalist in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting. Her most recent projects include writing on the Urban Movie Channel original series "5th Ward" and assisting acclaimed feature film director Corin Hardy on "The Nun" for New Line Cinema and Warner Brothers. She is the author of over forty illustrated, e-published children's books for the storybook app, FarFaria, including the award-winning "Sofia's Flower," recipient of the Royal Palm Literary Award. Julie's been mentored by Writer/Director Nancy Meyers and was named to the Tracking Board's Top 100 Writers on the Verge and IndieWire's Next Generation of Female Screenwriters.
