Holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University, a Masters in Environmental Law and a J.D. from Vermont Law School. He worked in Democratic politics from 1993 as Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries; Compliance Director for Clinton/Gore '96 and the Maine Democratic Party; Policy and Compliance Counsel for the Democratic Governors' Association; and as the Washington Office Director for the Governor of Mississippi. He is currently working on Public Policy and Legislative Affairs for NeighborWorks America. In coordination with his life partner Karen Sosnoski, his first documentary film, Wedding Advice: Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace (2002), debuted at the Durango Film Festival and is currently being distributed by Berkeley Media. He has two children Forester SosZey (b. 5th July 2002) and Anton SosZey (b. 19 January 2005).
