Robert David

A quintessential independent filmmaker, often doing all facets of the process, Robert is also owner of The CinemaLab in Englewood, Colorado--a Motion Picture Laboratory and Preservation/Restoration facility. Included in his work at The CinemaLab, he performs most of the preservation and restoration of influential filmmaker Stan Brakhage's unusual Avant Gard films for The Academy and has restored five James Whale films for Universal Studios. A staunch advocate of film as an artistic and archival medium, he lives deep in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
