Bach Yen

Vietnamese singer who left Asia for Europe in the early 1960s with the goal of becoming an international star. Later in the decade she became a popular guest star on American variety television program. Bach married Vietnamese instrumentalist and ethno-musicologist Tran Quang Hai and returned to her roots performing primarily traditional Vietnamese music.
