Jane Weir

Jane Weir was born in Davenport, Iowa, to a socially prominent family. Around 1926, she moved to California with her mother. Paramount Studios had high hopes for Jane, and they signed her to a five-year contract in 1937. Her obituary stated that she had dreams of being a screenwriter and that Hollywood studios had accepted several of her scripts. Jane died of an apparent blood clot that developed while she was recovering from an appendectomy. She is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
