Alan Alan

Escapologist, Magician and owner of the magic shop "Alan Alan's Magic Spot" in the West End of London. He retired in the mid Nineteen Nineties. As an escapologist he was best known for being tied up in chains and hung upside down from a burning rope. This was a mixture of comedy and suspense. With a small stature he always chose the largest members of the audience to tie him up; dragging him around the stage with his hands handcuffed behind him and the chain through legs. The mood soon changed as he thrashed and span upside down with bits of burning rope falling around him. He is a well respected mentor of many magicians including Michael Vincent.
