Biography

Toni Usman was born in Pakistan but has lived in Norway most of his life. He trained as an actor with Bollywood star-maker Asha Chandra in Mumbai, India. In Norway he has worked as a freelance actor since 1987 with engagements at NRK 1 (the country's largest TV channel), Radioteatret, Riksteatret, Teater Ibsen, etc. In 1992 Usman was one of the people behind a Norwegian-Pakistani version of Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" that premiered at the Ibsen Festival. On Norway's second largest television station TV2 Usman has co-starred in the sitcom "Bot og bedring" and was memorable as the gangster Iqbal Hussain in several episodes of the critically acclaimed police-series "Fox Grønland".
