Dave Smith

David R. Smith was born in Pasadena, California, the son of librarians. After getting a library degree from the University of California, he worked at the Library of Congress and UCLA before being chosen as the archivist for the Walt Disney company in 1970. As the official Disney historian, he has authored a number of articles and books on Disney, including Disney A to Z: The Official Encyclopedia and Disney: The First 100 Years.
