Biography

Gideon Shmorak is an award winning screenwriter, a filmmaker and an editor. His writing credits include a psychological thriller feature, Blood Kisses, which was nominated for Best Feature Film in the 2014 Madrid International Film Festival. Blood Kisses was also an official selection of the 2013 Long Island Film Festival and of the 2012 Big Apple Film Festival. Blood Kisses was produced and directed by Robert Kornhiser and The Brooklyn Bridge Press. Gideon Shmorak wrote a few spec screenplays. Shatter, one of his recent sci-fi thrillers, received the Bronze Award in the 2015 Page International Screenwriting Awards (sci-fi category), and it was First Runner Up in the 2014 Creative World Awards (sci-fi category). Gideon Shmorak also wrote and directed an acclaimed short, No Exit, which was aired on Canal+Europe and was showcased at major international film festivals such as Edinburgh, Mill Valley, Munich Filmmuseum, Belle Horizonte (Brazil), Clermont Ferrand (France) and others. Ever since graduating New York University's film school, Gideon Shmorak worked in editorial on different TV shows. He worked on documentaries and doc-series such as Broadway or Bust for WGBH, HMS Bounty Rescue for Encore and The Weather Channel, Big Brian the Fortune Seller for TruTV, Wild Transport for A&E, Hidden Heroes for CBS and much more.
