Nick Venet

He got his first break in 1957 as a rockabilly singer. Met Bruce Johnston in 1959 and started to write music with him. Became a record producer for Capitol Records in 1961. Signed The Beach Boys, Bobby Darin and Glen Campbell to the label within the space of a month. Played hot-rod music with own group The vettes. Also played with The Beach Boys. Later produced records for the UA and WB labels.
