Tarjei Vesaas

One of Norway's finest novelists ever. He wrote novels, short stories, poems and dramas about loneliness, lack of communication and of growing up. Made his debut in 1923, but his breakthrough came with the allegorical "Kimen" in 1940. Best known of his later novels are "Fuglane" (1957) and "Is-slottet" (1963).
