Ian 'Thistle' Thorburn

Ian has worked in the film industry for over thirty years and is one of the most respected 2nd Unit director/cinematographers in Australia. Ian's ability to work effectively with the main unit director in supporting his vision and create exciting action sequences is a testament to his creative intelligence. Having trained and worked in the formative years of the visual effects industry, Ian has a rich understanding of visual effects. He was honored in 2002 with full accreditation into the Australian Cinematographers Society.
