Veronica Tennant

Veronica Tennant was born in London, England, on January 15, 1946. Tennant began dancing at the age of four. In 1955, she immigrated to Toronto, Canada with her family. She was the Prima Ballerina with The National Ballet of Canada for 25 years. Since 1989, she has garnered acclaim as a filmmaker, speaker, writer and producer/director, with her works winning several awards. She formed Veronica Tennant Productions in 1997. In 2004, she was elevated to the rank of Companion of the Order of Canada, the country's highest honor.
