Cynthia Preston

Cynthia Preston is an actor and producer, known for Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (2018), Carrie (2013), and Whale Music (1994) which was nominated for Best Picture in Canada. Cynthia is both Canadian and American. Cynthia played Ophelia for over a year in Playhouse West's production of Hamlet in Los Angeles. The short film MUTE that Cynthia produced and stars in is making the festival rounds now, winning Best Thriller at the Imagine This Women's Film Festival, Honorable Mention at both the Toronto International Women Film Festival and The Blue Ridge Film Festival, and a Best Performance nomination for Cynthia at the Hollywood North Film Awards. Mute screened at Worldfest Houston International Film Festival from April 22 - 25, 2021, and won the Platinum Remi Award. Cynthia just signed on to direct two shorts.
