Demetri is a Cinematographer and 3D Stereographer (3D Supervisor). For his Stereography on 'Hugo' for Martin Scorsese, Demetri accepted The Lumiere Award for Best Live Action Stereography in 2012, from The Advanced Imaging and International 3D Society's Creative Arts Awards. He received this prestigious award again in 2014 for Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 3D film 'The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet.' 'T.S. Spivet' was also awarded Best 3D Film during the Cameraimage 3D Competition 2014. Demetri is thrilled to be working with Ang Lee on his ground-breaking new 3D film 'Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk' the first film in cinema history to be shot and projected at 120 fps in 4K native 3D. Demetri also recently worked as Cinematographer on the heist movie 'Scratch' and received The American Grindhouse 2016 Best Cinematography Award at the Miami Film Festival, plus a nomination for best cinematography at The Genre Blast Film Festival 2016. He has also previously worked as Stereographer / 3D Supervisor on '47 Ronin' for Universal. His live 3D work gained attention during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and during the 3D filming of the Resident Evil series of feature films. With over 20 years as a cameraman, Demetri's hands-on approach to crafting excellent 3D photography for the cinema and overseeing an incredible 3D team has provided beautiful results. Demetri completed a Fine Arts four-year intensive program at Arts York in Canada and he holds his undergraduate degree in Cinema Studies and English Literature from The University of Toronto, University College.
