Biography

Sinisa Popovic was born in Split in 1958.After finishing high school Sinisa studied law at University of Split. In 1981,however, his passion for the arts led him to quit law and pursue a career as an actor. Graduated in acting from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. Still a student he started to play the leading roles in theater productions and films. Member of Croatian National Theatre since 1989 where he created some of his most important roles: Richard Dudgeon in Devil's Disciple, Clindor in L'illusion comique, Halder in Good, Urban in Leda, Monsieur Jourdain in Le bourgeois gentilhomme, Henry Higgins in Pygmalion etc. Some of his significant roles were created outside his theatre: Dorante in Les Fausses Confidences, Juran in Juran and Sofija, Henry II in the Lion in Winter etc.His film credits include roles in over 20 films. Achieved more than 100 roles in theater and on TV. He is a winner of a several actor's award's.
