Biography

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Virginia Patton was raised in Portland, Oregon, where she graduated from Jefferson High School in 1942. Her high school goal was to "make it in Hollywood". She relocated to Los Angeles and attended the University of Southern California, where she starred in a play written by William C. de Mille. She appeared in several films throughout the early 1940s before landing a supporting part in It's a Wonderful Life (1946), which she considered a once in a lifetime movie role. She retired from acting in the late 1940s to concentrate on raising a family with her husband, Cruse W. Moss, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
