Deborah Serra

On assignment, Deborah has written ten TV movies, numerous TV episodes, including two years as a staff writer for NBC. She has sold two original spec feature films, completed two more per assignment, and optioned two others. Deborah was a recipient of the Hawthornden Literary Fellowship where she was invited to spend a month as a writer-in-residence in Scotland in 2012. She has been awarded a second residency there for 2021. Her first novel was a semi-finalist for the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Writing Award given by the Faulkner Society in New Orleans, LA. She has two published books: Primal and 2 Broads Abroad. Deborah has two award-winning plays written in 2018 & 2019.
