Steve Savitz

Screenwriter and fine-artist from Philadelphia. He graduated with a BFA in film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He wrote and directed the 16mm short film Rat Girl which exhibited in top US film festivals (Hamptons, Mill Valley, Slamdance, Santa Fe, USA). Optioned screenplays to Lakeshore Entertainment, Adelson Entertainment and Intermedia Films. Sold feature script, Rat Girl to MPH Entertainment. Served as staff comedy writer for HBO's Comedy Channel. Wrote for two shows: The Higgins Boys & Gruber and The Tommy Sledge Show. Wrote jokes David Letterman performed in a CBS TV promo for The Late Show. Semi Finalist: Academy Nicholl 2017 Screenplay competition. Quarterfinalist 2018 Scriptapalooza competition.
