Stephanie Salas

Biography

Stephanie Salas Banquells was born in Mexico City in 1971. She is the daughter of Silvia Pasquel Pinal, and she is the granddaughter of famed actress Silvia Pinal and the famous "Golden Era" Actor Rafael Banquells. Stephanie's father Alejandro Salas was a member of a Mexican '60s rock band. Her parents divorced very early in their marriage and Stephanie's contacts with her father have been scarce ever since. Stephanie attended the expensive and private "Olinca Springfield School" in Mexico City from where she graduated from High School. She pursued an acting and singing career within Mexico's major multimedia emporium: "Televisa." Her major hit is called "Ave Maria". She was most notorious for two events in her life: the first having a daughter with the famous Mexican singer Luis Miguel; and second, for baring it all in the Mexican edition of Playboy. Her natural talent and potential is obvious. As of 2002 she was a cast member in Mexico's "The Vagina Monolougues" theatre play.
