Gerry Ryan

Gerry Ryan started his life on pirate radio presenting a selection of programmes. He joint RTÉ 2fm in 1979 as a Radio DJ before presenting his radio show in 1988, in October 1990 Ryan won a Jacob's Award. He hosted the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest although he had been offer to host the 1993 Content but dropped his proposal.
