José R. Román

José R. Román was born in Puerto Rico, where he worked as a screenwriter, director, and musician. While a student at the University of Puerto Rico, he co-wrote and directed the comedy Santa Cristal. Shot "Guerrilla style", with a zero budget, and over the course of three years, the movie went on to win a grant from the Puerto Rico Film Commission. José now lives in Los Angeles, California.
