Baltimore born Carolyn Mignini began singing at the tender age of three. Dreams of a life in the theater were realized when she made her Broadway debut in "Fiddler On the Roof," her off-Broadway debut in "The Fantasticks" and earned a Drama Desk nomination for "Tintypes" for which she performed on The Tony Awards and The Kennedy Center Honors.
A top-grossing commercial performer, she endeared herself to millions of young viewers as "Kathy" on Captain Kangaroo before appearing in dozens of sitcoms, dramas and MOWs - most recently, HBO's The Deuce (2017), House of Cards (2013) and Veep (2012).
Also an acclaimed vocalist and cabaret performer, critic Rex Reed called her, "a radiantly talented singer... as sophisticated and haunting as anything I have heard."
