Ruth McCartney

Ruth McCartney (born Ruth Williams, 15 February 1960) is an Internet, digital and new media entrepreneur and is the CEO of McCartneyMultimedia, co-founder of fan management software company iFanz and President of ConnectCode.mobi. She is the stepsister of Paul McCartney and Mike McGear. McCartney was born in Walton Hospital, Liverpool. She began to study guitar, singing and dance at age four, adding piano lessons at age seven and guitar at age 12 at West Kirby Grammar School for Girls on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside. Her mother Angela Williams -a widow- married James McCartney Sr. after only three meetings, on 24 November 1964. Jim was 62 and Angie was 34. He adopted Ruth legally. Ruth studied stagecraft, writing, television production and dance at the North West Stage School.
