Rik Maverik

Originally from California, Maverik has been throughout the 1980's and 1990's director and manager of The Berlin Players, one of the two or three most prominent English language troupes in German-speaking Europe. The Berlin Players' repetoire has been typically Wilde, Shaw, Sartre and Beckett, and they are known for their daring interpretations, which usually meet with critical success. Maverik is also a solo polyglot performance artist, using material drawn from his trials and tribulations as an African-American sometime drag queen living in Germany.
