John Marsh

John Marsh and his wife Betty were selected from a list of couples to be filmed in the Cinerama movie "Cinerama Holiday". They were billed, from the movie, as being a couple from Kansas City, Missouri. However, his dental practice was in Overland Park, Kansas, just across the state line from Missouri. John was a dentist at the time. His real career was not professional acting. Since the movie was more on the line of a documentary, the producers wanted non-professional actors. They were trying to film a young couple from the USA on a glamour trip through Europe. After the movie was made, John Marsh went back to Overland Park, Kansas. He and his wife at the time of the movie, Betty, divorced. John continued his dental practice and married another woman later. He eventually resided in Stilwell, Kansas. John was known as a great dentist. He was also known for his great love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter. John Marsh was killed in an automobile accident in Harrisonville, Missouri on September 25, 1998. He was 71 years old at the time of his death.
