K. Lorrel Manning

K. Lorrel Manning wrote and directed the award-winning short film Happy New Year, on which the feature film is based. He has an extensive background in NY theatre as a director, writer and actor, serving as a resident director at the award-winning Off-Broadway theatre company The Barrow Group. His eclectic and revered plays include Happy New Year, A & J Rule The Universe and Wool (NYFA fellowship). Manning holds an MFA in Film from Columbia University. He is a co-partner with Michael Cuomo of the film production company One Light Left. He is also the lead singer of the rock band La Res.
