After years of tap dancing, Pedro began his theater career in his home country, Panama, at age 16, playing Snowboy in a bilingual production of West Side Story.
He moved to Canada in 1985 to finish his education at Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific, on Vancouver Island. He completed his Theater Degree at York University in Toronto.
After 10 years of working as an TV and theater actor, doing voice over work and working as an acting coach, he was hired as the artistic director for World Youth Day 2002, which meant that he was responsible for all the artistic programming for the week-long event and visit of Pope John Paul II to Toronto. After World Youth Day he was hired as a producer and on-air host at Salt + Light Catholic Television in Toronto.
Pedro is the producer/director (and sometimes host) for many documentaries and TV programs including, Creation (2015), Living Stones (2014), With Our Own Hands (2013), Make the Call (2013), Abraham's Tent (2012), Ends of the Earth (2010), A People of Life (2008), Turning the Tide: Dignity, Compassion and Euthanasia (2007); Lives in the Balance (2006); INRI (2006); Thank You, John Paul II (2005).
He is also the writer, producer and director of the hit series, In Your Faith (2004, 2010), as well as many episodes of Catholic Focus and the concert series Openings. For many years he also produced and hosted Perspectives: The Weekly Edition. He is the producer and host of the Salt + Light Radio Hour, which airs weekly on many radio stations in the U.S. and on the Internet at saltandlighttv.
