Alex Lyras is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, actor, and producer known for Plasticity, Heterosexuals, Californication, Tut, and The Common Air.
"Plasticity," his most recent production, was listed first on The Huffington Post Best Theatre Productions list. His previous solo performance, "Unequalibrium," was selected for "New Playwrights: Best Plays" and "Best Men's Monologues for the Twenty First Century." "The Common Air," linking six characters during an airport delay, was developed in Los Angeles, produced Off Broadway in New York and won multiple awards.
"Mona", which he starred in and produced, won Best Picture at the Malibu Film Festival. "Heterosexuals", which he starred in and produced is available on Netflix and Amazon Prime. His screenplay ALVA was awarded a TriBeCa Film Institute Sloan Filmmaker Grant. He is a member of the WGA.
